Retention unfolds through a spiraling structure that contracts toward a dark central form. Broad bands of red, brown, and muted neutral tones curve inward, creating a composition organized through enclosure rather than expansion.
The painting develops through sustained accumulation. Layers remain visible across the surface, allowing movement, pressure, and directional shifts to stay perceptible within the structure. Lighter passages interrupt the denser fields without dispersing them, reinforcing the sense of containment.
Despite the scale of the work, the composition remains controlled and internally focused. Movement does not resolve outward but continually returns toward the center, producing a condition of held tension and visual persistence.
A unique large-scale abstract work for collectors and interior-oriented placements emphasizing spatial depth, material presence, and restrained composition.
